Pottery has been a lifelong passion, and my roots run deep in Galveston. My great-grandparents settled here, and even though my father’s Navy career had us moving often, Galveston always felt like home. Summers on the island meant helping my uncle at his shirt shack on the seawall, staying with my grandparents, and even attending the original Rosenberg Elementary for part of a school year. Today, I’m proud to bring my love for clay to this vibrant coastal community.

I first discovered clay during college at Texas Tech and was instantly hooked. My professor warned me: “You’ll fail your classes if you keep focusing on pottery—and you’ll never make a living doing it.” After a 40-year corporate career, I am now retired and able to follow my passion full-time, creating functional ceramics that elevate everyday life.
More than making, I love sharing the joy of clay through classes. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, my goal is to provide a fun, welcoming space where you can explore, learn, and create at your own pace. No matter your skill level, my studio is a place where creativity thrives—whether you’re shaping your first pot or refining your technique.
